KODILEN is a trademark for a whole range of color concentrates - from white to black.
KODILEN color concentrates are dispersions of selected organic and inorganic pigments. LDPE is most often used as a carrier, with an input melt flow index of 2-4 g / 10min. In case of interest, we can also offer materials with PP or HDPE carrier.
For customers we offer INDIVIDUAL CHOICE of color concentrate KODILEN based on:
The DATACOLOR colorimetric system is used in the preparation of all color shades, which guarantees compliance with the required color shade even with repeated deliveries.
Dosage:
KODILEN has a very good dispersion quality and standard opacity.
The recommended basic dosage of KODILEN color concentrate is 1% - 3% by weight, the dosage can of course be adjusted depending on the thickness of the product and the required color saturation.
For fibers, thin films and tapes, the dosage is from 3% - to 10% depending on the fineness of the fiber resp. foil.
If you are interested in a transparent coloring of the product, we can also supply a material with a low pigment content and without the addition of a matting agent.
Also, in case of interest, we can also offer color concentrates, in which there is also a certain additive, in order to simplify the use of the concentrate by the customer. Most often, we offer a color concentrate with a UV stabilizer content, for applications that require increased UV stabilization.
It is advisable to use an automatic gravimetric dosing device to add the color concentrate. If it is not available, a homogeneous mixture of KODILEN color concentrate with the processed plastic must be prepared and this mixture dosed into the hopper of the production equipment.
Applications: - according to production technology
KODILEN color concentrates can be used for practically all common plastic technologies:
Applications: - depending on the polymer being processed
KODILEN color concentrates are intended mainly for coloring PP and PE products.
According to the experience of our customers, KODILEN is also suitable for coloring products from other types of plastics, eg:
However, due to the variety of types of plastics used, in these cases we recommend testing the ingestion of the concentrate, for which we will be happy to provide you with the necessary samples.
Thermal stability:
Selected pigments are used for KODILEN color concentrates, with sufficient thermal stability for common technological procedures.
Organic pigments are still at temperatures of 220-280 ° C, inorganic pigments above 300 ° C, while remaining in the device for 5 minutes.
Light stability:
Selected pigments with light stability, evaluated by Xenotest according to ISO 105 B01, at least grade 6, are used for KODILEN color concentrates.
Health safety
The suitability of the use of specific KODILEN color concentrates in plastics that come into contact with food is stated in the relevant material sheets.
In general, we do not use pigments containing heavy metals Cr6 +, Cd2 +, Pb2 +, Hg2 +, and substances that are on the SVHC list of substances in any recipe.
Quality of KODILEN color concentrates:
KODILEN color concentrates are produced in the highest quality and each production batch is subjected to output control according to catalog methods. With each delivery, a quality certificate with the following parameters is provided on request:
Labeling and supply of KODILEN color concentrates:
The following scheme applies to the labeling of color concentrates:
KODILEN AAA BBBB - CC / DDD
Where:
- KODILEN is a trade name
- AAA - represents the used polymer carrier:
for LDPE it is PEB - standard version
For PP it is PP
For HDPE it is PEL
- BBBB - a four-digit number represents a color shade number - each introduced shade is assigned only one number
- CC - indicates the approximate content of pigments in the concentrate
- DDD - indicates the possible use of the additive in a particular concentrate (eg. UV stabilizer)
The above scheme is used when ordering material and is also shown on each bag with the delivered material to ensure its identifiable.
KODILEN concentrates are in the form of granules, free of fine dust, and are supplied in plastic bags as standard. For larger orders, it is possible to agree on other packaging.
